DescriptionWho We Are

A friendly and caring church. With a membership under 100, we're small enough to be personable, and large enough to respond to many interests. An exciting diversity of persons engaged in business, trades, professions, students, and retirement find the congregation an affirming community. Children and youth are valued participants in our church.

We practice an inclusive community with a warm welcome for persons of every religious, racial, or ethnic background.

Women and men share in leadership roles.

Our worship and study experiences centre on Jesus' call to peace making and service in our community.

As a member of Mennonite Church Alberta, we are also a part of Mennonite Church Canada.
History"In 1978 a church was born [offspring of Coaldale Mennonite Church]. Childhood was marked by energy and optimism. Adolescence had its ups and downs. As a young adult it is more settled and responsible. To be an adult means to be a healthy individual contributing to the welfare of the whole community, in this case a member of and a builder of the Kingdom of God. There have been visitors and those who made this their church for a while without becoming members. For many the church has been a place to put down spiritual roots and draw the needed nourishment. It has been a place to raise one's children in a loving larger family. It is a community where each person has been challenged to live the Christian life more faithfully in the company of and with the help of others. The church has been home base for service in the community through the Soup Kitchen, Mennonite Central Committee with its sales, MCC Thrift Store, Ten Thousand Villages and Mennonite Disaster Srvice, through Habitat For Humanity, through Service Adventure helping HIV Connection, L'Arche, Rehoboth, Streets Alive, through deacon's relief fund and through the Prayer Chain." [From "A Church is Born: 1978-2003" a history of the congregation on the occasion of its 25th anniversary]
