| Description | Congregation with traditional Anabaptist values. Members are from various migrations and backgrounds. English is the primary language but a German adult Sunday School class and worship service alternate on Sunday mornings prior to the English worship service. |
| History | Established in 1946 as Scarboro Mennonite Church under the leadership of J. J. Sawatzky when a group of working women and men, mostly Russian Mennonites in ther 20's, came to the city to work. With the influx of refugees from Europe in the 1940's and 50's, differences arose and some members left to form the now Foothills Mennonite Church. Jacob Wiebe, the first paid pastor served 27 years, while many lay pastors, including Peter Heidebrecht and John Kroeger also served in leadership. |
