| Description | PGIMF exists to minister in the spirit of Christ, with an evangelical-Anabaptist perspective, to residents of Point Grey, the university and educational community, and those looking for an open, inquiring, participative faith community.
As a lay-led congregation, the duties of a pastor are shared by dedicated volunteers on the pastoral concerns committee and the worship committee who frequently invite guest speakers to deliver the meditation to the congregation. A feature of our service is the opportunity to ask questions after the sermon to deepen ones insight. |
| History | In 1986, the Menno Simons Centre was opened, a student residence near the University of BC. Point Grey Fellowship (PGF) was formed at the same time. In 1993, the congregation decided to distinguish itself as a Mennonite congregation but also to embrace its dual-affiliation status by changing its name to the Point Grey Inter-Mennonite Fellowship (PGIMF). |
