Contact Sponsors

Each youth group attending Abbotsford 2007 must identify a Contact Youth Sponsor on the registration form whether registering online or by hard copy. The contact name needs to be the same for the entire group. Name only one lead sponsor for each group. The responsibilities of the Contact Sponsor are to:

• Be a registered participant of the Youth Assembly.
• Submit all Youth Assembly registration forms together for your youth group to Youth Assembly or make sure all youth are registered online by May 7th, 2007.
• Submit all Release Forms with signatures by May 7th, 2007.
• Register your group for a Service Project.
• Be available to be contacted for any questions on registrations regarding your youth group.

The Contact Sponsor will receive confirmation of your group’s registration along with the Sponsor Handbook from Assembly Planning after May 7th.

Youth Sponsors/Pastors

Youth can come as individuals or as a group. If 2 to 5 youth from one congregation attend, an adult leader is expected to accompany them. For groups larger than 5, we need a ratio of 1 adult for every 5 youth. Adults who serve as sponsors receive a reduced registration rate. Youth who register individually for assembly will be connected with a youth group and leaders.

Sponsor Handbook

The Sponsor Handbook will be prepared for the Contact Sponsor of each group. You will receive a copy by early May. This handbook will include important information to help your youth group prepare for and at Abbotsford. It will contain guidelines for assembly week, small group discussion guides and a tentative list of seminars.
