Saskatoon 2002 Keepsakes

A special thank-you to our sponsors!

At our assembly this year, there will be several opportunities for children, youth, and adults to take home a piece of the assembly theme,

Let's Make a Garden

Let's Make a Garden by Tamara Awad Lobe is a wonderful children's book that celebrates the diversity of humanity through the metaphor of gardening and growing. Each child registered for the children's convention at Saskatoon 2002 will receive a keepsake book to take home with them as a memory of their time at assembly. We are grateful to Mennonite Educational Institute (Abbotsford), Menno Simons Christian School (Calgary), and Winnipeg Mennonite Elementary Schools (Winnipeg) for sponsoring Let's Make a Garden.

Temporary Tattoos

Thanks to Rosthern Junior College for sponsoring temporary tattoos-always a popular item for children, youth, and young-at-heart adults. Two tattoos will be available-one with the RJC logo, and one withthe official hands logo of the Saskatoon assembly. Assembly participants are invited to wear the tattoos proudly as an invitation to witness in the community of Saskatoon. "Hey, neat tattoo. Where'd you get that from?" Have you got your response ready?

Tote Bags

Re-usable, and useful for almost any purpose! Every registrant for Saskatoon 2002 will receive a free tote bag. These bags have 101 uses-from toting groceries to serving as winter shoe bags. And maybe you'll even be reminded to call Mennonite Foundation for help in estate planning, or Meritas to investigate ethical investment funds. Both agencies are graciously sponsoring these tote bags for Saskatoon 2002.

T-shirts

Not sponsored by anyone, but available for sale will be assembly T-shirts featuring the "Hands" logo that is beginning to appear everywhere. Olive green in colour with a gold coloured logo, these T-shirts will be available in limited quantities on a first come first serve basis. A smart T-shirt with a cool logo that invites conversation, many delegates will want to wear one when they report back to their congregations.
