What is RSS?

  • RSS can help you access news articles from various sources.

For people who want to access our RSS News Feed

You can use one of the more modern Web browsers to access our and other RSS News Feeds (Note: Internet Explorer does not support RSS).

  • FireFox - look for the symbol for more help to use RSS in FireFox
  • Opera - look for the symbol for more help to use RSS in Opera

For Webmasters

There are a number of ways to include Mennonite Church Canada news articles in your website:

a) If your site uses primarily HTML

If your site uses primarily html, you can use JavaScript code to show summaries and links to our news articles.

  1. Download this JavaScript: JS-rss.txt
  2. open JS-rss.txt in a text editor
  3. copy the JavaScript
  4. go to your web page editor
  5. paste the JavaScript into the page where you want to show our news articles
  6. save and upload the page
  7. here is a sample of what it would look like: JavaScript-RSS News Feed

b) If your site uses PHP

If you don't know what PHP is . . . stick with option a) above.

  1. Dowload this PHP code: php-rss.txt
  2. open php-rss.txt in a text editor
  3. copy the PHP code
  4. go to your web page editor
  5. paste the PHP code into the page where you want to show our news articles
  6. save and upload the page

c) If your site uses a Content Management System or blogging software

Some one that is familiar with your software should be able to add our RSS feed.
