Christmas Video Greeting

Dear Mennonite Church Canada Family:

Five years ago Mennonite Church Canada began producing a short radio broadcast and podcast called Church Matters. The scripture quoted in this first episode was taken from Philippians 1, where the Apostle Paul writes to the church with these words:

“I thank my God every time I remember you, constantly praying with joy in every one of my prayers for all of you, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.”

These words strongly resonate with my first of leadership Mennonite Church Canada. I believe relationships are critical to the ministry we do together. That’s why I have invested heavily in travelling  across Canada to meet with so many of you. You have inspired me, encouraged me, and challenged me – and I am grateful to God for each and every one of you. Thank you.

I wish I could bring you Christmas greetings personally, but that is simply not possible. So, I offer a short video greeting:

On my behalf, I ask you to share it widely in your Congregation, your Area Church, and anyone else you feel might welcome this message at this time of year.

Thank you so much for welcoming me into your churches and homes this past year. I hope to meet many more of you in the 2012.

May the wonder of the first Christmas inspire you anew.
