| December 08, 2003 Winnipeg, Man.— Eight volunteers from Douglas Mennonite Church here spent an entire day helping to stuff envelopes for a Mennonite Church Canada fundraising drive. From left to right around the table are Tina Wiebe, Anna Funk, Jake Harms, John Penner (Ike Guenther & Anne Klassen in background. Ann Harms not pictured). The group stuffed over 6,000 individual envelopes with 3 items per envelope – including the most recent issue of Together!, the awareness and fundraising newsletter of MC Canada. Together! is available electronically from www.mennonitechurch.ca/news. Mailing coordinator Karen Peters said, “These folks are amazing, and fun to work with. Without their help I’d still be folding and stuffing!” |
