Scottdale, PA — After 10 years, the Confession of Faith in a Mennonite Perspective continues to have wide distribution in sales of over 3,000 copies a year and is available in 11 languages. In addition, the Confession is available for personal use on-line at several web sites.

The sales have been consistent among local congregations, pastors, and bookstores since 1997 after the initial surge in sales when the document was published in 1995, according to Mennonite Publishing Network offices. Helmut Harder, co-chair of the Confession Committee, commented: “When we were developing the Confession, we had no idea that it would eventually be used so widely among Mennonite churches internationally and among non-Mennonite churches in North America and beyond.”

The Confession has been translated into at least ten languages, including Spanish, Dutch, French, German, Laotian, Vietnamese, Russian, Hmong, Korean, and Chinese. A large number of these translations were made possible by Mennonite Church Canada for use among churches in North America and beyond. Some translations were initiated in international settings.

Through on-line availability, the Confession has been adopted as the Confession of Faith of the Evangelical Missionary Church of Cuba. On-line copies are posted on the:

and can be borrowed in 10 language from the Mennonite Church Canada Resource Centre

Confession of Faith in a Mennonite Perspective is published by Herald Press, Scottdale, Pennsylvania, and Waterloo, Ontario. Herald Press a ministry of Mennonite Publishing Network, the denominational publisher for Mennonite Church Canada and Mennonite Church USA.
