Thiessens on Special Assignment

On May 4, Richard Thiessen and Karen Heidebrecht Thiessen will travel to Ethiopia on a Special Assignment for Mennonite Church Canada Witness during a period of sabbatical from their respective positions as Library Director at Columbia Bible College and Pastor of Level Ground Mennonite Church in Abbotsford, B.C. (previously West Abbotsford MC, now merged with Wellspring Christian Fellowship.) Until the completion of their term on June 30, 2009, Richard will serve as a Librarian Consultant at Meserete Kristos College library, while Karen relates to a local orphanage. The Thiessens will be accompanied by their three sons.
