WATERLOO, Ont. — Cyndi Fecher of Elgin, Ill., has been named the new Managing Editor of the Gather ’Round curriculum, a joint project of the Church of the Brethren, Mennonite Church Canada, and Mennonite Church USA.

Fecher brings to the position her prior service as Gather ’Round project assistant from 2006-07, along with recent experience in writing, editing, layout, and proofreading while serving as Publications Coordinator for Brethren Benefit Trust since January 2 this year.

Of additional benefit to the curriculum is Fecher’s teaching experience in South Korea, where she taught English as a second language to students age four through adult. She also brings technical expertise in website management and publishing software.

“I am delighted to welcome Cyndi back to the Gather ’Round team,” said Anna Speicher, project director and senior editor. “I look forward to the continued growth of the curriculum with Cyndi in this key role.”

Fecher will begin as Managing Editor on August 3, working out of the Church of the Brethren General Offices in Elgin.
