New Managing Curriculum Editor appointed

WATERLOO, Ont. and SCOTTDALE, Pa. — Mary Ann Weber of Goshen, Indiana has been appointed Managing Curriculum Editor for Mennonite Publishing Network (MPN).

Weber, who graduated from Eastern Mennonite University with a degree in Early Childhood Education, and from Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary with a degree in Christian Formation, begins her new position in July.

“We are delighted to have someone of Mary Ann’s experience, and with her commitment to faith formation, join us,” says MPN Executive Director Ron Rempel. “At MPN, we believe Christian Education, guided by a Bible-based curriculum, is one of the core disciplines of a missional church.”

“As part of the editorial team, Weber will play an important role in creating resources that help people to be grounded in their faith and aligned with God’s activity in the world.”

Weber is presently the Human Resources Coordinator for Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) Great Lakes. Prior to that she taught for six years in Pennsylvania, served three years with MCC in the Philippines in the area of education and children’s rights issues, and also spent several years on the Congregational Resources staff of the Lancaster Mennonite Conference.

Weber is a member of Benton Mennonite Church in Goshen, where she teaches Sunday school, chairs the Nurture Ministry and serves on the Pastoral Leadership Team.

Weber will work out of the Mennonite Church USA office in Elkhart, Ind.
