Messages from Japan

April 5, 2011
-Dan Dyck

Winnipeg, Man - Church members from across Mennonite Church Canada continue to pray for the people of Japan. Mennonite Church Canada stands in solidarity with two Japanese congregations in Mennonite Church British Colombia: Mennonite Japanese Christian Fellowship (Surrey), and North Shore Japanese Church (North Vancouver).

Although Mennonite Church Canada’s direct presence in Japan ended with the return of Witness workers Gerald and Rie Neufeld and family in 2008, our mission partner, Mennonite Mission Network, continues to have workers in Japan. They recently began a blog, Messages from Japan, to keep supporters up to date with the evolving situation overseas.

Gerald is presently the pastor at Mennonite Japanese Christian Fellowship.
