Authors on children and faith formation featured on Shaping Families radio

Harrisonburg, Va., and Waterloo, Ont.—Two Canadian authors who’ve researched, written, and speak frequently about children and faith formation continue a faith development focus on Shaping Families through its fall programs. In addition, Melissa Miller, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, and a new “My Turn” speaker for the program, makes her debut October 13.

October schedule:

  • Oct. 6: “Family Under Construction.” Gareth Brandt, a blogger and author of the book Under Construction: Reframing Men’s Spirituality talks about practical experiences in raising his own children.
  • Oct. 27: “Please Pass the Faith.” Elsie Rempel, a former elementary school teacher, is currently a faith formation consultant for Mennonite Church Canada and author of Please Pass the Faith: The Art of Spiritual Grandparenting.

Shaping Families has added a new station in Kitchener, Ontario, as of October 6. The program will begin airing on Faith FM 94.3 at 11:45 am Saturday mornings which brings the total station count to 22 in the U.S. and Canada.
