Bob Haverluck’s whimsical cartoon-like art draws us afresh to Biblical stories, parables and truths. Bob is a pastor, educator and internationally published and exhibited artist. “Jonah and the Cow…” will enthrall, entertain, cause a smile and a laugh, puzzle and challenge. The Artist

Bob Haverluck drawings have appeared in Harpers (New York), New Statesman (London), Coracle (Glasgow), National Catholic Reporter (Kansas City), etc… He has a regular graphics page “Beyond the line” in Arts: Arts in Religious and Theological Studies (New Brighton, Minn.). He is a former editorial cartoonist for Ploughshares Monitor (Waterloo) and Canadian Dimension (Winnipeg). Haverluck’s publications include Peace: Perspectives on Peace/Conflict (Peguis, Winnipeg, 1990) and Love Your Enemies… And Other Neighbours (U.C.P.H., Toronto, 1992), which he wrote and illustrated. In 1990, the “Canadian National Magazine Awards” gave Haverluck a “silver” for a series of drawings in Border Crossings (Winnipeg). For the years 2002 and 2003, he was Artist-in-Residence at the University of Winnipeg (Theology). He has had solo art exhibitions in Chicago, Winnipeg and Vancouver. Haverluck is a United Church of Canada minister currently working with children and others at John Black United Church, Winnipeg. His most recent exhibition was Earth of Wounds, Earth of Wonders at the Courtyard Gallery at the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago, June 2004.
