Change their world

Young people want to make a difference in their world. They want to change their world for the better.

As a youth sponsor, pastor or leader, you want to make a difference in their world. You want them to catch the excitement of a radical Christian faith and develop into mature believers whose faith is expressed in words and actions.

Group Venture can be your partner in achieving these goals. Studies indicate that most people become Christians before age 21 -- and that the single most important influence for young people is a spiritual experience away from their familiar surroundings. Group Venture can provide the setting where youth can get a different perspective on life, where they can change their world.

Build relationships

Group Venture provides a variety of service assignments, including construction, painting, yard work, home repair, and help with community or church-based programs. Most importantly, Group Venture allows youth groups to experience close contact with people whose lives are very different from their own. As youth learn to know people with different lifestyles and cultures, they view their own world in a whole new way. All it takes to change their world -- and yours -- is a willingness to take that first little step.

Build a tradition

For 16 years, Group Venture has arranged short-term experiences for more than 600 high-school-aged youth groups involving some 12,000 people. MBM's Short-Term Mission staff serve as your facilitator, connecting you with vital long-term ministries in nearly 40 locations throughout North America.

Volunteers pay their own travel costs plus a registration fee, which pays for orientation materials and a portion of their host location costs.
