Ministry
In the land which is an historic and spiritual home to three monotheistic
faiths, there remains a great opportunity to embody Jesus’ gospel
of peace and reconciliation between neighbours. Mennonite Church Canada
Witness seeks to walk with the church in Palestine and Israel to strengthen
its presence as a community of faith, practicing and proclaiming the
gospel of peace in the midst of conflict. Witness personnel are exploring
relational connections with a variety of churches and Christian organizations.
Celebrations
- The upcoming Christ at the Checkpoint conference March 2012

Challenges
- Establishing a Christian ministry that is supportive of the
local church without being partial to a particular denomination.
- Working
toward peace and justice in land that is religiously, politically,
and sociologically very complex.
- Increasing the focus of the ministry
so as to use resources to their fullest
- Discovering the needs of the
church and supporting existing initiatives that address these needs.
- Maintaining a long term Mennonite Church Canada presence in the land
