Cross Lake Ministry Circle

Overview

Florence Benson-Umpherville, Horace Umpherville, and Gerald and Christina McIvor are lay leaders in the Living Word Church in their home community. The congregation has a strong vision for ministry to their community and especially to the children and youth.

The Living Word congregation is located north of Lake Winnipeg on the Nelson River. They are happy with their worship space and the opportunity it affords for various outreach ministries in their community. The congregation joined Mennonite Church Manitoba at its February 2006 annual assembly.

Pray for these two couples as they lead the Sunday services and give direction to congregational programming. Pray that other congregations might become engaged in this ministry circle.
