Pauingassi/Little Grand Rapids Ministry Circle

Elna and Henry Neufeld

Henry and Elna have worked with Native people for half a century. Their wide circle of contacts in daily life has opened many doors for sharing and receiving the grace of God. As they speak fluent Ojibway, Henry is often called upon as an interpreter, as resource person for special services, and to assist with specific needs. The Neufelds continue to travel into Native communities by invitation and promote Christian resources. They also volunteer their time for hospital and home visitation in Winnipeg and area.

These northern communities have been served by Mennonite Church Canada Native Ministry on an itinerant basis for many years. Several Mennonite Church Manitoba congregations have also been involved through youth and children’s ministries, especially in the summer months.

Pray for the locally appointed leaders of the small cell churches in these communities. Pray that more congregations will join Springstein Mennonite in this ministry circle.
