God’s Healing Power

We invite you to share the following story with your congregation. It should take no more than 2 minutes to read aloud. You might also wish to include the story in your church newsletter. This story is part of Equipping #47 June 2004.

On Sunday, February 22, 2004, we baptised 4 people. Their names are Grandpa Voh, Jeap, Trissadee, and Grandma Hum. Baptisms are always a special moment for the church as we grow together into God’s reign.

We want to share more about Trissadee's spiritual journey with you. She is an elementary school teacher who has taught for many years. She is the first civil servant in our town of Borabu who has accepted Jesus Christ. It took her almost a year before she was able to say ‘Yes’ to Jesus Christ. In her testimony she shared that her life is much happier and she has had more peace since she has come to know Jesus. Trissadee also shared that she had chronic laryngitis (inflammation of the vocal cords) for many years, which often caused her hoarseness or loss of voice. She prayed for God's mercy and healing and one night she dreamed that a healing hand touched her. From that night on, Trissadee has been completely healed from the illness. Praise the Lord for His healing power!

We have seen Trissadee grow steadily in her spiritual life; she feels God's call to do His work. She feels the burden to help out with the church activities, to do more evangelism and to share God's wonderful story among her family, neighbours, and her friends at school. She never thought that she would be able to do this. May God receive the glory through her life!
