How to Search/Order
New to our catalogue?
- Begin your orientation by viewing our Search Tips and Features.

Browse or Download
Browse or Download materials freely by simply using the keyword, advanced search or subject category options. Pages and search lists can be easily printed for future reference by clicking on the "print" button on the top horizontal bar. No need to even log in!
- Interested in other titles by the same author? Simply click on the author's name.
- Interested in other materials produced by the same publisher? Click on the publisher's name.
- Related subject? Click on the multiple subject listing at the bottom of each record.
- Related website? Various records have website links. Click the button underneath the thumbnail photo.
- Each search list is organized by "resource type" (DVDs, curriculum, books, etc. are grouped together). Each title within that "type" is listed alphabetically. Click here for the way the types are prioritized.
- Green print represents a live link (author's name, publisher, subject category, cross-reference link in the notes section, etc.).
Borrow or Purchase
Borrow or purchase title by clicking on the borrow or purchase buttons under the cover photo to the right of each record. This will automatically place the item in your shopping cart. For easy reference, items in your cart are also itemized in the top left corner of the sidebar. Or, you may view the entire list by simply clicking on View Cart on the top horizontal bar.
- Fill your cart with as many loan and purchase items as you like:
- borrow books, videos, puppets or other materials from the Resource Centre's library collection
- purchase Mennonite Church Canada publications or Heritage Centre Books from the Resource Centre
- purchase a title from one of our partners: Mennonite Publishing Network, Cascadia Publishing House, CMU Press.
- Each transaction is carefully delineated in your shopping cart. Items from Cascadia and Mennonite Publishing Network will be grouped together and sent to you from Waterloo, ON with one shipping charge. Items from the Resource Centre, Heritage Centre or CMU Press will be shipped from Winnipeg, MB. Each will be processed as separate orders.
- At the conclusion of your search, view your shopping cart. Here you can place an order for multiple copies of a single item or edit/delete resources from your order.
- Once satisfied with your order, click Check Out.
- You will be prompted to log-in. To borrow or purchase items you need an account with a username and password.
- If you are a new customer, please fill out a personal profile. Once completed, we will automatically send you an email notice with your username and password (for future reference).
- If you are a returning customer, simply access your existing account by entering your username and password.
- If your order incurs a shipping charge or purchase expense, this will be outlined for you in the check out procedure and you will be asked to provide your credit card information. Please note that this website uses encryption via a secure server to ensure that your credit card information is protected. For security reasons, we also do not store this information on our data base.
- When you borrow items you will be asked to verify a loan period. The default setting is four weeks from the date of your inquiry. Please note that the four-week loan period is the standard loan length. New and seasonal resources, materials from our partners, all have a shortened 3-week (2 weeks in Winnipeg) loan period. Please adjust the dates of your request accordingly. (We will make these adjustments if you forget.) See our Loan Policy for more details.
- You may reserve items by adjusting the dates and selecting a loan period later in the year.
- You may place a hold on a resource by adjusting the dates to request the item immediately upon its return. View the reservation calendar to aid you with this.
- Click continue or complete order to finish the process. The respective partners will be notified of your order. You will also receive electronic confirmation.
- You may print a receipt of your purchase order. Please note that credit card transactions will occur on the date the item is shipped.
Please note:
- The Herald Press Ministers' and Librarians' Bookclub is not currently available through this site. To take advantage of these discounts, apply and order from Mennonite Publishing Network directly.
- Various curriculum and periodicals from Faith and Life Resources (Gather 'Round Sunday School, annual Vacation Bible School materials, Leader, Purpose, Rejoice) are not currently for sale from this site. To purchase these titles, contact Kathy Shantz at 1-800-245-7894 or hpcan@mph.org. Also check Mennonite Publishing Network's website.
