Caring for God's creation is a timely subject, as Patty Friesen writes in her preface to this Bible study guide. Natural disasters, flooding, and drought have roused our awareness of the effects of climate change, reminding us that a healthy planet is essential for human health, physical and spiritual. The biblical creation story orients us to our place on this earth, urging us to till it and keep it. "Keeping the earth is our response to God's creativity and love, made tangible in the created world around us. Twelve sessions examine our relationship with God's creation and suggests practical ways to care for it, nurturing our faith and nurturing others in the process. The closing worship focuses on praise to the Creator and our reconciliation to a broken earth.
