Kids and Blessings: Living the Beatitudes

This curriculum is grounded in a vision that Jesus' followers were given in Matthew 5. Jesus taught the people a new set of attitudes to guide them in their daily living. The beatitudes or blessings introduce the teachings of Jesus that we know as the "Sermon on the Mount."

To live as Jesus lived means that we choose to follow another path in our pursuit of happiness, one that honousr meekness, gentleness, kindness, and humiltiy. In our struggle for God's justice we advocate for those who are insignificant, filled with sorrow , or suffering because of an injustice.

This workshop-based learning experience is for elementary-age children who enjoy interacting with others and who want to understand the Bible and God's way for them as children. Workshops are designed for groups of 10-15 participants, but can be easily adapted to accomodate larger or smaller groups. Junior Youth Enrichment - each workshop has a special enrichment section for use with this age group.

(5-10 sessions)
