... and You Invited Me In:
A Refugee Worship Resource
Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) has developed
this resource to assist congregations wishing
to prayerfully consider the issues and realities
facing refugees in the world today. These materials
will provide you with the resources necessary
to highlight the current and ongoing realities
facing refugees around the world.
In this packet you will find both Sunday morning
worship materials, as well as a number of
Sunday School activities and topics for discussion.
These suggestions can be used with adult,
youth or inter-generational groups. The packet
provides multiple options, and can be used in its
entirety or separately, as it fits with your
worship style. Use these materials to challenge
the common use of the word ‘stranger’ in your
congregation—and to replace it with ‘neighbour.’
Consider, then, what it means to love your
‘neighbour’ as yourself. Who is your neighbour
and how can you, as a congregation, respond
with love to your neighbour the refugee?
