On October 17, 2009, Mennonite Church Canada and the Christian Reformed Church met for a Peace Symposium to discuss each other’s perspectives on peace, pacifism, and just war. Herman Keiser, retired military chaplain and Pentagon advisor presented a paper on behalf of the Christian Reformed Church, and Helmut Harder, retired General Secretary (MC Canada) and Professor Emeritus (Canadian Mennonite University) presented a paper on behalf of Mennonite Church Canada.
