A Theological Program for High School Youth

What is !explore?

!explore is divided into two parts: A groups experience and a congregational experience.

During the 18-day group experience participants have an opportunity to explore the Bible and contemporary church issues with seminary professors as well as experience ministry in an urban setting. At the beginning and end of the experience, time is spent in a retreat setting designed for team building, leadership development, spiritual disciplines and processing of experiences.

During the congregational experience participants work with a pastoral mentor in their home congregation for 20 hours per week, for five weeks. In this congregational context, participants are introduced to practical ministry tasks, exposed to spiritual disciplines and asked to reflect on theological issues.
