Church Education Sunday Pray that the ministry of our Mennonite church schools might bear fruit in calling and equipping children, youth and young adults in growing faith, and that church and school in partnership might send gifted servants of God into a world in need of good news.

You are invited to participate in the Macau Learning Tour, April 20 to May 1, led by Samson Lo, Director of MC Canada Multi-Cultural Ministry. The tour group will encounter and experience the local church, go on a prayer walk in the neighborhood, visit Witness workers, and see the sights and sounds around Macau as well as Hong Kong. See poster on the bulletin board. Contact Samson Lo at 604-254-2772 for more information or check out www.mennonitechurch.ca/getinvolved/lt/

Witness workers in Macau are excited about the number of people who are finding new faith in Jesus Christ. Your financial gifts support the church fellowship in its ministry to women’s and men’s groups, after school programs, and children’s ministry. Members of the church are also bringing others to faith.

Pray for those who plan and lead worship that they might effectively lead your congregation to love God more deeply and serve God more completely.

The church in Thailand is growing because of your support. Pat & Rad Houmphan, MC Canada Witness workers, are training new church leaders who work alongside them in bringing God’s warm light of hope to the communities around them.

Please pray for Mennonite Church Canada leaders from across Canada who will meet to discern the challenges facing the church in Canada, and to provide direction and shape responses to the activity, identity, and ministry of the church. Pray for the wise use of knowledge and clear discernment.

Together with Area Conferences, Mennonite Church Canada works to strengthen the church’s witness in a broken world. Your support empowers many ministries that encourage, equip and resource the church locally and abroad.

February 26, 2006 Thank God for effective ministry in congregations, area conferences, and national church over the past year, for the ways in which we have been able walk with the suffering church in the world, and specifically in the efforts to speak out against the killing in Darfur, Sudan; for the demobilization and disarmament of armed groups in Colombia; in support of imprisoned church leaders in Viet Nam; to ease the tensions between church and state in Cuba; the continued prayers for CPTers in Iraq and their families at home.   The gospel is being spread in Burkina Faso. Because of your financial support, MC Canada Witness is able to provide people who are sharing God’s good news through their work in Bible translation, linguistics, church planting, providing Bible resources, and teaching.
