George and Tobia Veith and family, Witness Workers
in Macau, need God’s encouragement and wisdom as they continue
their work with the growing church in Macau. This ministry of being
the body of Christ can be difficult in a culture that is quickly
being influenced by Casino life and the call of prosperity. Pray
for the Veiths, the Buhlers and the congregation in Macau as they
grow together as a church family trusting the strength of God. |

Witness Worker Lillian Haas is now on North American
Ministry and was also married to Norm Nicolson on Oct 7th. Thank
you for your support that has and will continue to make Lillian’s
literacy ministry a success in Burkina Faso. Lillian
and Norm Nicolson plan on returning to Burkina Faso. |

The Mennonite Church in Vietnam has just completed a significant
training seminar for Vietnamese pastors and church leaders. Pray that
this learning will bear fruit in the lives of the Vietnamese church
as it struggles in the face of pressure and persecution. Also pray
for the unity of believers as they are strengthened by God’s
presence. |

Thank God for the people and churches who are building bridges and
relationships between Aboriginal and non- Aboriginal neighbours. Pray
for the willingness to share with each other and the openness to listen
to needs as we learn how to walk in one another’s shoes. May
God’s wisdom, hope, and peace be present in these relationships
and the relationships that are waiting to be born. |

rooted in the commitment of our spiritual predecessors to tell the
life-transforming good news that has changed them. Offer a prayer

who have given their testimony in word and life, to the good news
of Jesus Christ. |

Titus Guenther, Canadian Mennonite
University Professor is on special assignment with Mennonite
Church Canada Witness and will be teaching at the Evangelical Theological
Faculty of Chile from August 30th to December 7th. It is because
of your support that Titus is able to connect with some of the 20
Mennonite/Anabaptist churches in Chile. |
