Equipping No. 72 January 2007a resource packet for equipping Mennonite Church Canada pastors and leaders

Karen Peters is responsible for this issue of Equipping.

What rare and special joy it is: To see and meet good company. Where all unite thought common vision, A vision unattainable alone, Where each has learned to share their special gift with gladness. When mutual respect has led to mutual acceptance then group support surrounds the leadership; And leaders say without regret: "Your company is worth the effort." - Richard Kramer

I reflect on this bit of inspiration every morning when I enter my office. What a rare and special joy it is to be a church together. this became even more evident to me while planning and hearing about Jack Suderman's God's People Now! listening visits to congregations across Canada. The tour is now done and we are grateful to God and to all of you for the warm reception Jack and colleagues received, and for their safe journeys.

Worship Resources is the theme of this edition of Equipping. I also want to highlight the Equipping Survey - please help us serve you better by completing this short survey and sending it to us (more details inside). Also, Assembly 2007 planning is well in hand; a poster for your youth is included.

Thank you for assisting us in getting these resources to those in you church who can use them. Our office is always happy to hear from you; if you have any questions please feel free to contract our office. Filling in temporarily,
Karen Peters - Executive Assistant

If you have questions or comments, Phone 1-866-888-6785 (or in Winnipeg, 888-6781) or email me at . Enjoy!

Note about Resources

All new resources are being added to the Resource Centre Catalogue, where you can use keyword searches to find the resource you need.

Note about PDF documents:

Trouble cutting & pasting from Acrobat PDF files? The newest version of Adobe Reader lets you select the exact amount of text you want, even from documents that contain columns (older versions of Reader selected text line by line across all columns – a process that would jumble text and challenge even the most patient user). Download the latest FREE version of Adobe Reader with this link.

  • To select text from a PDF document, choose the “I” beam Select Text tool from the Adobe Reader tool bar at the top of the screen, and highlight the text you want to copy from the document. Copy it. Then paste it into your bulletin or other document.
  • To select images from a PDF document, choose the "Select Image" tool from the Adobe Reader tool bar at the top of the screen, and highlight the image you want to copy from the document. Copy it. Then paste it into your bulletin or other document.
