Epiphany is the season which celebrates the revelation of God in Jesus, as the one who comes as God’s salvation for all nations, symbolized in the story of the Magi who come to worship the infant Savior. Pray a prayer of thanksgiving for the gift of good news and reconciliation that has come to you and to the people you represent--a part of the rich cultural and global mosaic of the body of Christ.

In the land which is an historic and spiritual home to three monotheistic faiths, there remains a great opportunity to embody Jesus’ gospel of peace and reconciliation between neighbours. Pray for the Witness ministries and for the people of Israel, as Mennonite Church Canada Witness ministers through education, dialogue, and reconciliation with Christian, Jewish and Muslim people.

Stewardship Sunday

Today we have time to reflect on stewardship as the believer’s joyful response to God’s action in our lives. We can all join together in praying that we might be active and willing partners in God’s vision for the earth, God’s vision for our resources, and God’s vision for our responsibility to each other as stewards.
