Church Education Sunday
The church schools of Mennonite Church Canada form disciples of
Jesus, nurture God’s calling, and equip and send people to
engage the world with the reconciling gospel of Jesus Christ. Pray
for the teachers and professors who give their gifts of knowledge
and example for the betterment of the church and the work of God.

Altona Bergthaler Mennonite of Manitoba will be
embarking on a learning tour of Colombia on Feb 9-19th. They will
be learning more about MC Canada’s partnership with the Colombian
Mennonite Church. Thank-you to all of you who have supported the
Colombian Mennonite church financially and in prayer. |

Pray that the relationships within the church family
might be marked by a commitment to love and guided by the self-giving
love of Jesus, who “…emptied himself, taking on the
form of a servant.” Phil. 2.7

Todd and Jeanette Hanson and the
Nanchong Christian Church congregation celebrated the last stages
of their church building project. The China ministry thanks you
for your support of Todd and Jeanette as they continue their ministry
through English language instruction. |

God, you equip your church with the gift of leadership.
We pray today for the pastor and leadership of our own congregation.
Bless them, give them strength and joy, give them wisdom and delight
as they minister to us. Above all, give to them the knowledge that
they are exercising the gifts of your Spirit in their lives and
for the up-building of our church.

The Africa learning tour to Botswana and South Africa,
Feb 22nd to March 8th will be learning more about MC Canada’s
involvement in southern Africa. Thank you for your support of Dan
and Yvonne Nighswander/Snider-Nighswander and
Glyn and Susan Jones/Allison-Jones as they
work with the African Initiated churches. |

God, you send us as a church, as you sent your son
Jesus, into the world to engage it and to demonstrate ways toward
reconciliation. In our world still so desperately in need of reconciling
love, show us the way, so that we may be more faithful to the vocation
to which you have called us. Give us the courage and discernment
to be the ambassadors of your generous and all-encompassing grace
and love.

Benin Bible Institute and St Jacob’s Mennonite Church in Ontario.
