Today we remember the day that Jesus entered Jerusalem
as the humble prince of peace, riding a donkey. Pray for Mennonite
Church Canada Witness worker Glenn Witmer and the MennoJerusalem
Biblical Study and Travel Program taking place April 28th May 19th
in Israel, Palestine, and Jordan. |
Working together for a better world: The Colombian Mennonite Church invites all
Mennonite Church Canada congregations to join them in Days of Prayer and Action
for Colombia, May 20 – 21. Convened by the Coalition for Peace in Colombia,
they ask that we “Pray for Colombia, for an end to the 60 year old war
here, and for the Mennonite, Mennonite Brethren and Brethren in Christ churches
here so that our witness will be as clear and strong as yours has been.”

Congregational Leaders from across Mennonite Church
Canada will gather at Grace Mennonite Church in Regina March 30-April
1 to explore the ways worship can transform congregational life
and inspire new vision for ministry under the inspiration and guidance
of the Holy Spirit. Your support is helping to nurture visionary
leadership and revitalize congregational mission. |

On this day we celebrate Christ’s resurrection
and we can thank God for the growth of the church in parts of the
world like Kotoura, Burkina Faso. Mennonite Church Canada Witness
worker Anne Garber Kompaoré shares that that the pastor
of the Kotoura church is assisting other Mennonite international
workers in evangelism and church planting work amoung the Nanergue
people. |
A Mennonite Church Canada Learning Tour just returned
from South Africa and Botswana where they witnessed the day-to-day
lives of Witness workers and the people with whom they minister.
Your support makes it possible for workers to minister in the areas
of HIV/AIDS and theological and Anabaptist education in an area
very affected by violence and poverty. |

Please pray for Mennonite Church Canada Witness
workers Lillian and Norm Nicolson as they finish up a session of
rigorous studies in British Columbia and begin itineration in congregations
across Canada. |
In China, the Rural Pastors’ fund continues
to strengthen rural churches and church leadership. Mennonite Church
Canada thanks you for your support to this ministry in China and
your continued support of the Christian presence in China through
Mennonite Partners in China (formerly China Educational Exchange). |

The Unraus, Mennonite Church Canada Witness workers in Germany,
request your prayer as they, their congregation, and their partners
of the Christliche Glaubensgemeinschaft discuss and discern the future
direction of leadership in this ministry. Please pray that there
will be a spirit of good-will, a common vision, clarity in communication,
and a desire to work together in unity. |
The Colombian Mennonite Church held an annual assembly on March
16th-18th where they processed some leadership changes and discussed
future ministry direction. Because of your support of Mennonite Church
Canada ministries in Colombia, visionary Christian leaders can continue
to bring teachings of hope and peace to a church that is deeply affected
by the surrounding culture of war. |

Thank God for a great response to the need for
international workers in Korea! Mennonite Church Canada is excited
that several new workers have accepted positions for service in
Korea working with Connexus, the language ministry school associated
with the Korea Anabaptist Center. |
