On this Many People’s Sunday we thank God
for the many languages spoken in our global church. Peace and language
from a Korean perspective is being shared by Korea Anabaptist Center
Program Director, Jae Young Lee, as he tours schools and groups
in Sichuan, China as a guest speaker for Mennonite Partners in
China. KAC and Mennonite Partners in China are supported Mennonite
Church Canada. |
Mennonite Church Canada Youth Assembly: The Canadian Band Starfield has been
confirmed for the Wednesday Late Night concert to be held at Trinity Western
University. Online registration is available at mennonitechurch.ca/events/abbotsford07.
Registration forms have been sent to your church office or can be downloaded
from the same website. Early (discounted) registration deadline is May 7th.

The Entz’s, Mennonite Church Canada Witness
workers in Burkina Faso, tell us that their efforts in the mother
tongue have made the gospel message more acceptable to the Samogho
people. Now, even the mayor in Orodara wants to help them to save
the Samogho language. Thank-you for your support of the Entz’s
and the ministry in Burkina Faso. |

Please continue to pray for the ministry of Peacebuilders
Community and the work of Daniel and Joji Pantoja, Mennonite Church
Canada Witness Workers, who have had to respond to several recent
emergencies when several hundred people were displaced due to a
land claim issue in Mindanao, Philippines. |
Two groups of the Mennonite Church in Vietnam gathered for renewal and inspiration meetings in Ho Chi Minh City
during March. Your support of Mennonite Church Canada Witness helps
pastors from over 200 churches in southern Vietnam come together
for this and other training events. Pray for unity in the Mennonite
Church in Vietnam as it continues to grow. |

The Entz’s, Mennonite Church Canada Witness
workers in Burkina Faso, are thankful for an exciting seminar that
involved representatives from all the Mennonite churches. The seminar
focused on storytelling evangelism. The Entz’s also ask prayers
for their daughter Aisha, student at Canadian Mennonite University,
as she looks for God’s leading on her summer plans. |
The Canadian Mennonite brings inspirational and educational
stories, news, and commentary on the life and ministry of the church
into 16,000 households every other week. Your support of Mennonite
Church Canada and our area churches across Canada helps to pay part
of the cost of producing and distributing the Canadian Mennonite
to everyone in MC Canada who wants to receive it. |

This Pentecost we celebrate the vision that God’s
Spirit gives to God’s people. Thank God for Eagle’s Wings
Ministry in Prince Albert, SK, which a new vision that Cree pastor
Ray Dumais has for his people. Please pray for Ray and his volunteer
staff as they coordinate this drop-in centre in the downtown area
of Prince Albert and as they welcome Aboriginal people from many
northern communities in the name of Christ. |
This coming July, 4-500 youth from across Canada will
gather in Abbotsford, BC, for a Youth Assembly experience unlike
any other. For some, this experience will affirm their faith. For
others, it will challenge who they are and where they belong in God’s
family. Your gifts to Mennonite Church Canada help our youth to participate
in this one-of-a-kind life experience. |
