Thank God that International Mennonite Pastors Coming Together (IMPaCT) 2007 was a success! Four pastors from Brazil, Bolivia, and South Korea met with pastors from Alberta and were hosted by congregations as they shared stories of challenge and promise in the global church. Participants shared global perspectives of the Spirit’s work in the church. Together the pastors grew in their understanding of what it means to be a church around the world.

Please pray for the Legesse family, Mennonite Church Canada Witness Workers preparing to go to Ethiopia. Dianne, Fanosie, and their two children Zach and Lydia, will travel to Ethiopia in early August. They will serve as a bridge between the Mennonite church in Ethiopia and Canada while Fanosie teaches at Meserete Kristos college.

The Mennonite Heritage Centre Archives is a ministry that collects, preserves and makes available the records and stories of the Mennonite church – its people, organizations and programs, so that we can learn from the past and be guided in the future. Staff assist many people within and beyond the church who long to understand and connect with their family’s history and experience of God. Your support of Mennonite Church Canada helps in part to cover the costs of this ministry. Thank you.
July 29 Please pray for Cliff and Natasha Dueck, Witness Workers in Ukraine, as they are preparing for summer camps. They are very concerned about the lack of rain, intense heat, and lack of natural shade where they usually operate their camps. Pray that God would supply this Ukraine ministry with much needed camp staff and pray for a relief from the drought in Ukraine that is adversely affecting crops.
