An updated translation of the Confession of Faith
in a Mennonite Perspective into Laotian is nearing completion.
Chinda Kommala, a lay leader in the Lao Canadian Evangelical Mennonite
Church in Toronto is the translator, and is testing his translation
in the Christian education program of his congregation as his work
progresses. Your gifts to MC Canada help provide support for translation
projects like this, which make key faith instruction materials

On this Sunday Mennonite Foundation
of Canada focuses
our attention on the task of faithfully managing God’s gifts
to us, particularly our material goods. Whether we consider ourselves
rich or poor, it is easy to be enthralled with wealth and its accessories,
and to assume that if we had more we would be satisfied. Pray that
God will bless the work of Mennonite Foundation, will help us find
contentment with whatever we have, and that God will provide the
strength we need to be faithful. Pray also that our generous God
will infect us with the joy of giving. |
The 2008 Mennonite Church Canada
wall calendar continues
our annual tradition of sharing information about special Sundays
like Peace Sunday and events sponsored by out ministry partners.
Look for it on your congregation’s bulletin board or check
out the online version at
www.mennonitechurch.ca, click on "Calendar".
Your support makes resources like this possible. Thank-you! |
