This April, MC Canada international worker Nancy
Frey will be visiting Ontario and asks you to “pray for time to
adequately prepare and for a fruitful time of sharing about the ministry
in Benin.” She will be accompanied by the administrator of
the Benin Bible Institute. |
“Making your church matter in your
neighbourhood” is the topic of MC Canada’s 14th monthly
podcast called Church Matters. Hear Pastor Rudy Dirks talk about
how a funeral featuring heavy metal music opened doors to faith for
a family in his community at www.mennonitechurch.ca/tiny/592. |
Mennonite Church Canada international workers Gerald
and Rie Neufeld are returning to Canada after several years of ministry
in Japan. Thank-you for your support of the ministry in Japan and
your support of the Neufelds as they visit congregations in Canada
and transition into life in BC. |

Mennonite Church Canada congregations in Mennonite
Church Eastern Canada and in D.R. Congo, Burkina Faso, England, South
Africa and Ukraine are anticipating “IMPaCT” (International
Mennonite Pastors Coming Together) in Ontario and Quebec from April
23 to May 7. As in previous years, the process of obtaining visas
from the Canadian government may be difficult. Please pray for the
6 guests and their hosting congregations as well as the visa process. |

Associate in Colombia, asks you to “pray for the transformation
of hearts and minds of political leaders in Ecuador, Venezuela, Colombia
and the United States and the reconciling Spirit of God to move
all governments to work towards peaceable solutions instead of
more war, and a just peace within Colombia and among its neighbours.” |
“The Company of 1000” is
a quiet, on-going ministry supported by many faithful donors across
Mennonite Church Canada. It provides forgivable loans to students
preparing for ministry in our congregations and related ministries.

Please pray for the Brazil Mennonite Mission
Agency (JMMI), a partner
of Mennonite Church Canada, that was formed ten years ago in response
to a vision to participate in mission internationally. Since then,
mission workers have been sent to Mozambique and parts of Brazil
with a new congregation emerging in Palmas, Tocantins. Additional
ministry opportunities are being considered in Northern Brazil and
in England. |
Mennonite Church Canada walks with and encourages the church
in Brazil with grants. The church is strengthening its relationship
with other churches in the region and beyond as it defines its
role in the international Anabaptist family. Thank-you for your
support of this ministry. |
