Assembly Sunday |
On this Sunday, Mennonite Church Canada Assembly 2009
draws to a close. Pray that the Holy Spirit will work through the
experience of this time together to bring blessings of fellowship
among and between Mennonite churches in Canada. |
June
11, is the first anniversary of the Canadian government’s
apology to Aboriginal survivors of the residential school system.
Mennonite Church Canada Native Ministry invites you to celebrate
this new beginning with praise and prayer, and to seek opportunities
for continuing the reconciliation process on a personal level.

On March 26 to 29, pastors from Canada and the U.S.
who are in the early stages of their careers gathered at Associated
Mennonite Biblical Seminary (AMBS) for Clarifying the Call. This
event provided new pastors with the opportunity to share their hopes
and concerns, and to connect with others at a similar place in their

will guide leaders of governments, health organizations, workers
and churches, as they track and respond to those affected by H1N1
virus. Pray also that churches around the world will respond faithfully

Did Jesus have the support of administrators to
help his ministry? We can’t know for sure – but we
are grateful for the way congregations fund and pray for the many
support workers and administrators needed to under gird the ministries
of Mennonite Church Canada. Thank you!

Legesse in Ethiopia
and Dann (Joji) Pantoja in Philippines. Pray also for God’s

Praise God for nine new believers in China! In early
April, MC Canada Witness workers Phil and
Julie Bender visited
the city of Dazhou, three hours north of Chongqing, and joined
a local congregation for a baptismal service. Thank you for your
continued support of this and other ministries bringing God’s
hope to a troubled world! |
