Manitobans have an opportunity to witness an historic event and help redress a great wrong in our history. The first national event of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission will happen at The Forks on June 16-19. Christians should attend to learn about healing and hope for ourselves, for our neighbours and for our country. Information at trcnationalevents.ca/websites/trcevent2010 Mennonite Church Canada is inviting every congregation to send representatives to this event and share your experience with your fellow members.

Mennonite Church Canada congregations are perpetrating acts of peace! Mennonite churches in Calgary held a billboard campaign of peace slogans in December, and in March, called for a peaceful response to local white supremacist activity. Floradale Mennonite Church of Ont. presented “Those Peace Shoes” a play/dinner theatre in April. Add your Act of Peace to “1,000 Acts of Peace” at liveforpeace.org/
