No. 24 February 2002February 1, 2002, marked the end of the bi-national Mennonite Church in Canada and the USA, and so we present to you a reconfigured Equipping. You will notice that the changes are not great; rather, it's been a process of adjustment as you will now find items grouped differently to reflect the reorganized Mennonite Church Canada. This is a learning process for all of us, as we begin to learn and understand the responsibilities of different areas of our church. A new dimension of Equipping is that we will be attempting to post all of its contents on the web site here. Also with this issue, I introduce to you Karen Peters. Karen will be taking over the overall coordination of Equipping activities as Phyllis Wiebe retires this spring. We welcome Karen to Mennonite Church Canada, and she welcomes your calls of encouragement or concern about Equipping. Meanwhile, please join the staff as we bid a reluctant farewell to Phyllis, who has unwaveringly guided the many forms of this resource to congregations for many years. Shalom. - Dan Dyck, director of communications Inside this issue of Equipping:General Secretary's Office
