Denominational Minister

This position functions in a dynamic, exciting, team- and community-oriented ministry environment. The successful applicant will provide spiritual leadership to the staff and ministries of the Church, and administer denominational ministerial leadership activities.

Responsibilities include fostering a vision for excellence in pastoral leadership, resourcing area conference ministers, developing and implementing ministerial leadership policies, administering the Company of 1000 student assistance program, coordinating pastoral leadership education, preaching and leading workshops and spiritual leadership of denominational staff and programs. Travel across Canada is a requirement of the position. The Denominational Minister is a member of the Executive Staff Team for Mennonite Church Canada.

The successful candidate will have appropriate education, pastoral experience and a vision for congregational ministry in the 21st century. Commitment to following Christ, love for the church and enthusiasm for the missional vision of MC Canada are essential. Gifts in the areas of communications, program administration, planning and policy development, pastoral care, interpersonal relationships and supervision are important assets. Preferred starting date is January 1, 2003.
