MC Canada Witness announces
Missional Formation and Partnership Facilitators

The missional church vision, into which we believe God's Spirit is leading Mennonite Church Canada, is based on:

• healthy and strong congregations
• healthy and strong area conferences
• a healthy and strong national church

Together - we nurture and call forth a missional vision for the entire church
Together - we form strong and healthy relationships with one another
and seek God's direction
Together - we receive and respond to God's call

A national office can seem far away and removed from congregational life. MC Canada wants to be present, both to provide resources to nurture your congregation's missional vision, and to listen and learn from our congregations and area conferences. To help us work together in this activity, MC Canada Witness has appointed half-time Missional Formation and Partnership Facilitators in your region.

Gerd (who will also soon begin half-time as MC Canada's Western Director of Resource Development), Norm, Eric, and Jim will be happy and eager to help your congregation engage its missional church vision, whether you are just beginning to wonder what the missional church is about, or if you are ready to discern mission and ministry through a vision and goal setting process. Please remember that the missional church vision is not a program, nor a process. God is calling our Anabaptist Mennonite Church to a way of being. And from our being, comes our doing. A search is currently underway for an Alberta-based Missional Formation and Partnership Facilitator.

What is God saying to you, personally, as a congregation? What is God saying to us, as area conferences, as Mennonite Church Canada, and as a global body? Let us be called to prayer, and let us be ready to dream new dreams and see new visions as our Lord leads us.

Pray for us, and for your respective Missional Formation and Partnership Facilitator. Know that we are praying for you and for God's leading in your congregation.
