Witness Notes

We encourage you to include one of the following notes of interest in your church bulletin
each Sundaythis month. Because some information is sensitive, it is excluded from the online version - congregations receive hard copies in the Equipping package that has all the information.

This is how your financial support of Mennonite Church Canada WITNESS is ministering
...from across the street to around the world!

July 7

July 14

July 21

July 28

This summer many First Nations children will participate in summer Bible camp in Cross Lake, Manitoba. Your gifts to Mennonite Church Canada WITNESS give hope and joy to children who have few options.

August 4

In Knob Noster, Missouri, 120 Mennonite Voluntary Service (MVS) volunteers gathered in May for retreat, worship and resourcing for their assignments. Their response to teaching about the missional church was overwhelmingly positive. Your financial support will enable them to work together with 33 congregations during this coming year.

August 11

Justice and peace advocacy have long been important parts of Mennonite witness to the world. Arlyn Friesen Epp has been called by Mennonite Church Canada WITNESS and Formation to guide and direct this ministry. Your financial participation makes important ministry like this possible.

August 18

In Nanchong, China, Jeanette Hanson teaches English with China Educational Exchange. She is also involved in a community development project which provides hearing aids to children who need them in an area where such service is not usually available. Your contributions to Mennonite Church Canada WITNESS mean a strong Christian presence in China and the meeting of important needs.

August 25

Mongolia does not officially allow the Christian church to be present. However, through a model dairy farm Mennonite Church Canada WITNESS has workers present there. They are excited about the farm work (which is being widely emulated) but even more so that numerous people are becoming Christians and turning their lives around. Your gifts to Mennonite Church Canada WITNESS make this kind of holistic witness possible.
