We encourage you to include one of the following notes of interest in your
church bulletin
each Sundaythis month. Because some information is sensitive, it is excluded from
the online version - congregations receive hard copies in the Equipping package
that has all the information.
This is how your financial support of Mennonite Church Canada WITNESS is
ministering
...from across the street to around the world!

September 1
The London Mennonite Centre is a vibrant place where Anabaptist thinking and
practice meet in Great Britain. Mennonite Church Canada WITNESS workers Vic &
Kathy Thiessen direct the work of the centre. The Thiessens, along with their
daughters Janelle & Katrina, left this summer on this assignment. Your gifts
to Mennonite Church Canada WITNESS facilitate this ministry.
September 8
A new training course for missional leaders is scheduled to start in January
of 2003. You or someone from your congregation could be involved. Mennonite Church
Canada WITNESS is a key partner in the development and execution of this training.
Your contributions will make it possible for many missional leaders to be trained.
September 15
Arlyn Friesen-Epp is the new Director of Peace and Justice for Mennonite Church
Canada WITNESS. He has a strong vision for peace advocacy and education in Mennonite
Churches. Your support of MC Canada WITNESS continues a long tradition of working
for peace and justice in a tumultuous world.
September 22
In Brazil the small Mennonite church in Picarras has grown in numbers and the
facility is ready to burst! Your contributions to Mennonite Church Canada WITNESS
support Rudy & Elsie Frose in their church planting ministry in Southern Brazil.
September 29
Young people today have many options. They long to be mentored towards faith
and service. Your involvements in their lives together with ministries like Service
Adventure, Mennonite Voluntary Service and Mission Internships help strengthen
youth in their faith walk and practice. Financial support of MC Canada WITNESS
ministries provides many youth with the opportunity to serve.
