Some of you will have received the Der Bote Every Home Plan (EHP) packet that was sent to your congregation at the beginning of September. Please follow the guidelines about collecting the subscription money and filling out the forms.

Currently, many of you do not have church members subscribing to Der Bote. If there are German-speaking people in your congregation who are interested in receiving Der Bote, please contact me at the above address or phone number for ordering information.

Der Bote is a German-language newspaper, published 24 times per year by Mennonite Church Canada. The subscribers, numbering about 3300, live in North and South America, Russia, Germany and several other European countries. The articles and historical accounts that are published in the paper reflect the diversity of backgrounds and experiences of our readers.

For members of churches in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, the cost of a subscription to Der Bote for 2003 is $30.00 through the Every Home Plan. For members of churches in Mennonite Church Eastern Canada, there is no charge, as MCEC pays the subscriber's portion of those subscriptions. The Christian Formation of Mennonite Church Canada pays the balance of the cost for all subscriptions ordered through the Every Home Plan.

The deadline for ordering subscriptions through the EHP for 2003 is November 8, 2002. Subscriptions run from January to December 2003.
