We encourage you to include one of the following notes of interest in your
church bulletin
each Sunday this month. Because some information is sensitive, it is excluded
from
the online version - congregations receive hard copies in the Equipping package
that has all the information.
This is how your financial support of Mennonite Church Canada WITNESS is
ministering
...from across the street to around the world!

FEBRUARY 2
The first module of the missional church training course sponsored by Mennonite
Church Canada is complete. Over fifty participants gathered at the Charleswood
Mennonite Church to learn how the church can make an effective “missional
footprint” in the world. Your support of MC Canada WITNESS is making this
training possible and could transform your congregation!
FEBRUARY 9
In Cuba there is a group of congregations that have become interested in Anabaptist
ways of following Jesus. They have adopted the Confession of Faith in a Mennonite
Perspective as a key reference point. MC Canada WITNESS provides resource people
and funds to facilitate an annual retreat for leaders where they gather and
receive teaching. Your contributions are helping a church that is rapidly growing
in numbers also grow in spiritual depth.
FEBRUARY 16
Mennonite Voluntary Service is a ministry of MC Canada WITNESS. New MVS units
are being developed for Toronto and Ottawa. This ministry has shaped the lives
of hundreds of people over the years. Your financial support of MC Canada WITNESS
facilitates young people’s learning of the Christian way of service.
FEBRUARY 23
Brian Dyck and Lynell Bergen have returned to South Africa where
they do bible teaching and other ministries with African Initiated Churches.
The AIDs crisis is hitting this region of the country hard. Your
support of MC Canada WITNESS enables their teaching ministry through Bethany
Bible Institute and AIDS support work through Transkei AIDs Support
Organization. |
