Witness Notes

We encourage you to include one of the following notes of interest in your church bulletin each Sunday this month. Because some information is sensitive, it is excluded from the online version - congregations receive hard copies in the Equipping package that has all the information.

This is how your financial support of Mennonite Church Canada WITNESS is ministering
...from across the street to around the world!

March 2

Mennonite Church Canada’s Multi-cultural Ministry program builds connections with our many brothers and sisters in multi-cultural congregations of our country-wide church. Your support of MC Canada WITNESS enables these congregations to meet their needs, see that they are served by MC Canada programs, and be better represented in denominational leadership.

March 9

Native Ministries (NM) of MC Canada WITNESS (together with other agencies) advocates on behalf of aboriginal communities that are not well represented to the public. Currently there is a crisis in Grassy Narrows, Ontario. NM supports Christian Peacemaker Teams in seeking to help in non-violent ways. Your support of WITNESS makes such advocacy possible.

March 16

Church Leadership in Latin America is an on-going need of the church. Omar and Ester Cortes-Gaibur are theological leaders in Chile whose impact with local leaders reaches out to an entire region. Your contributions to MC Canada WITNESS support their ministry.

March 23

Vic & Kathy Thiessen direct the London Mennonite Centre which supports the Anabaptist Network, the Metanoia book service, Bridge Builders conflict mediation service, theological seminars and much more. Your financial support of MC Canada WITNESS means support for the Anabaptist movement in Great Britain.

March 30

The Mennonite congregation in Zaporizhya, Ukraine is growing and is developing stronger local leadership. Your support of MC Canada WITNESS has enabled the pastoral work of Jake and Dorothy Unrau as congregational leaders in Zaporizhya.
