Foyer Bulletin Board:

A global quilt project was initiated out of the Mennonite Heritage Centre Gallery four years ago. The “quilt”, which has become a multi-quilt installation artwork, will be unveiled at the gallery, 600 Shaftesbury Blvd., on Friday, June 13 at 7:30 p.m. Mennonites and Brethren in Christ members from approximately 20 countries contributed quilt blocks. Winnipeg artist, Agatha Doerksen, coordinated more than 20 volunteers to bring the final artwork together. The installation will remain up until Wednesday, June 18. The gallery will be open extended hours on Saturday, June 14, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Sunday, June 15, noon – 6 p.m.; Tuesday, June 17 until 8 p.m. Come celebrate our global family of faith.

The quilt will be available to tour after the global assembly in Africa. Contact Connie Wiebe at the MHCGallery, 888-6781 or cwiebe@mennonitechurch.ca for details.
