Greetings all! Welcome back to the routine of school, work, and church life after summer. It’s been a difficult and even tragic summer for some. Forest fires in BC and Alberta continue to wreak havoc. Mad cow disease on the Prairies continues to challenge the livelihood of farmers and others connected with the beef industry. Power outages in the East have been a wake-up call for many. Our prayers are with you all.

Many of you experienced difficulties downloading PDF files from the September edition of Equipping. Thanks for letting us know! We think a software glitch generated files that were much bigger than needed. We hope we have resolved the problem, and welcome your reports of other technical difficulties you are encountering.

Remember that you can help us all “do together what we cannot do alone” by ensuring the items in this issue find a home with the right person in your congregation.
