We continue to hear about our sister churches in other countries, most recently in Vietnam, where believers are being persecuted for their faith. Please continue to pray for the Vietnamese church and Christians in other countries as they seek the freedom to worship God and live out the gospel.

The new Mennonite Church Canada Prayer Directory will be available at the Annual Assembly (Winkler 2004) in July. This book helps make real the ministries we do together. Thank-you for your help in making it a reality.

MC Canada staff, board and council members are putting finishing touches on reports and seminars for the Assembly in Winkler, MB, July 7-11. Pray for wisdom as they work to prepare delegates well for the important conversations that will take place.

In Israel, Mennonite Church Canada Witness worker Glenn Edward Witmer is facilitating inter-faith dialogue and assisting in breaking down the walls of hostility. Your support helps with the reconciliation ministries among Christian, Muslim and Jewish people.

Pray for energy and enthusiasm for the many volunteers from the Winkler, MB area who are finalizing arrangements for the MC Canada Assembly in their community, July 7-11.

Planing to travel to Manitoba this summer? You’re invited to join the wider church and the community of Winkler in celebrating faith, family and friends at the Friday Festival in the Park on July 9. Held in conjunction with the Mennonite Church Canada Annual Assembly, this special event will feature great music, interactive activities, a BBQ, and more. Starts at 3:30 pm at the Winkler Park. During the last week in July, congregations in Riverton, Pine Dock & Mattheson Island, Manitoba are hosting the bi-annual Native Assembly. You are invited to participate in this gathering of native congregations from across North America. There will be worship, music, tours and workshops that resource church programs and strengthen leadership. Your support for strengthening the church and bridge building is very much appreciated.
