Peace and non-violence are held dear to us as followers of Jesus Christ. Please pray for the church in Vietnam, where the extreme pressure from the government has caused the number of people identifying themselves as Mennonite Christians to fall from over 11,000 to 3,000. Pray for peace in communities such as these around the world.

The dream of having the congregations in Ukraine work together is being fulfilled with the formation of the Christian Union of Mennonite Church in Ukraine. Mennonite Church Canada Witness has helped facilitate the coming together of these congregations with your help.

Phil & Julie Bender (Hamilton MC), Mennonite Church Canada Witness workers in China are teaching at the Medical College in Chongqing with CEE. Julie is also serving as the pastoral care provider for the many China Education Exchange workers in China. Pray for their ministry, and the teachers and students they come into contact with, that God’s love and light will shine through them.

The Native Ministry Partnership Circles that have formed in Manitoba are gathering in November, to deepen their relationships and commitment to spreading the Gospel. Together, we are helping build bridges and extending God’s love.

The Confession of Faith from a Mennonite Perspective has been translated into Mandarin with the help of Mennonite Church Canada Multi-Cultural Ministry. Director Samson Lo is arranging for its printing in Hong Kong and promoting it among church leaders in Asia.
